The criteria which guide the Ashfurlong Scholarship selection process, help us discover young people who are intelligent, talented, committed, and great to work with.

We are looking for:

• passion to become a consultant

  • we'll ask you to show you've done your homework and know about the consulting profession, and that you've thought hard about what it means to be a consultant

• energy and commitment to use your talents

  • you'll need to demonstrate that you can accomplish things in areas such as sports, music, debate, dance, theatre, associations (such as Scouts or Guides), particularly where teamwork is involved

• behaviour that is guided by values

  • it takes integrity, curiosity, creativity, boldness, and trustworthiness, to succeed as consultant, and we'll ask you to give us examples of your values in action

• moral force of character, and respect for and interest in, other people

  • you'll need someone who knows you well to provide a character reference
