About the Course

In professional services, building and maintaining good rapport with clients is essential for having productive business relationships. Whilst formal day-to-day engagements help develop professional connections with clients, business relationships can dramatically deteriorate through poor encounters in social settings.

This course covers how to capitalise on social situations with clients from short coffee chats to lengthy evening dinners. Topics include understanding social styles, use of body language, being engaging and respectful through dialogue, dealing with difficult questions, understanding boundaries between business and private discussions, planning to achieve business outcomes through subtlety.

Through an interactive classroom environment and a live role play client lunch or dinner with senior executives, participants will learn and practice techniques to be confident in developing professional and personable client relationships.
